That would be me, the 'mom'.... I came in tonight, not too late mind you, but I was talking on the phone with a friend. And so, I had to skip the usual routine of greeting the little darlings. Although I did stroke Gabriel's back, he's the easiest to catch.
I continued to talk on the phone for the next hour and a half as I absent-mindedly tried to go through my nightly routine around the kitchen. This was apparently not appreciated.
As I finally sat down by the dining room table and ended the phone call, I noticed that they had both disappeared. I had to call them out, at which point only Princess showed up.
"Where have you BEEN?", I asked her, as she slinked around me, raising her back and swinging her tail. So she jumped up on the table and began walking around me and the laptop, including on top of the keys. Gabriel is still MIA..
They just don't appreciate seeing my attention diverted elsewhere. And they just disappear to make a point out of it, I guess.
As I write on this screen, I can tell you that Princess is standing next to me, looking at the screen intensely. She is now looking at my fingers and making the connection of what this does to the screen. She keeps studying this whole scene back and forth... Nose-to-keyboard now.. She is just totally fascinated.
