Okay, I admit it: I could write this from Princess' perspective, as I have watched her behavior consistently the same in this certain scenario - but I don't know what she's thinking.
All I know is that many times, she doesn't appear to want to share the bed with "Googie" while I'm still laying in bed. She's okay only if I'm up and out of it, and then she and Googie lay around together on it. But when I'm still under the blanket, and Googie jumps up to nuzzle me and circle around me, she consistently jumps down if she's on the bed already. I don't know what the deal is - but I think I can take a guess:
We have our usual routine with mom every morning as she opens the door: Googie and I come into her room, and if she's not already up, I jump on the "beddie-bye" to see her first thing. I walk around her carefully, I try and gauge her mood, I try to give her a "massage". I even tip my nose to hers, as much as I can. But you know what? If that sloppy boy finally finds his way and thunders up on the bed? I'm outta there - on the double.
I will NOT share my time or mom with Googie, okay?!! I just WON'T. Especially when he starts his shenanigans, like the other day: He all of a sudden started going crazy just because mom was moving her legs underneath the blanket. I just had to jump down and I was sooo relaxed, I was actually snoozing.
Things just got too heated for me, up there.
